Wonderful title, I know. Let me explain. You see I’m reading this book, Do Hard Things, and it’s really interesting. So I got to thinking (I know, a teenage genius is thinking, lets all hide): and I really want to do something to influence the world. Now. Not in twenty years after I graduate from a university and can join the peace corps (which I plan on doing), but now, as a fourteen-year-old. There are a lot of things that could be done, so I need your ideas!! I’ll inform anyone further about what idea I go with, just comment with your e-mail address and I’ll add you to an e-mail group.

Did you know that the first public blog ever is owned by the Library of Congress, and is still running today? It can be found here: www.loc.gov/blog/
Being sick sucks. I’m home from school yet again today. I was yesterday too, but I felt too much like crap to blog, in fact I was on the computer for about five minutes yesterday. So I’ll give you all the latest news, and then probably go throw up again.
Yesterday
When I woke up, I had a headache that was so bad that it hurt to move my eyes (this lasted all day), and mom said I had a fever, so I stayed home. I took some Jr. Tylenol (I can’t swallow pills, and we didn’t have any go tabs.) to help the headache, but fifteen minutes later, I threw them all up. That was my day, watch TV, hydrate myself with water, throw up. I went to sleep around 7:30 to nap, but ended up sleeping until 10:00 and then having a fitful night of sleep.
Today
So far, all I’ve had today is water, but I just threw that back up, and that stupid headache is coming back. I’m getting off. Good-bye.

High school. I love it, I hate it, But all in all, it’s the utmost important thing in my life (I know, a shocker, I actually have a life!). So this semester I have:
1st Period: Honor’s Earth and Environmental Sciences
2nd Period: PE/Health
3rd Period: Chorus
4th Period: World History
So lets start with HE&ES. It’s the easiest class I’ve ever taken, even though it’s Honor’s. My teacher is the easiest teacher I’ve ever had, and in the class we mostly do labs and take notes. For three days we even got on the school’s laptops for the whole class. Easy sums up HE&ES.
PE/Health is pretty much gym. I’ve actually come to enjoy this class. We start class with the role, then dress out, then stretch, then run. After we run a half-mile, (which my time improves everyday) we either learn a sport (volleyball right now) or have free-time. A fairly easy class, but we haven’t gotten to the health part yet. The best part of this class, I have friends in it, including Sam, who I’m starting to crush on, (a little) even though she has a boyfriend.
Chorus is the highlight of my day. We learn about music. We DO have a workbook, *GASP!* and we don’t just sing all the time. I know people in this class (and know of people) but haven’t really became friends with anyone yet. This class includes Lunch, which is a normal lunch period, except for the fact that I sit with Sam, from Gym.
World History is the hardest easy class. I have a cool, yet sometimes strange and strict teacher, and it also has Sam, from Gym and Lunch, in it. I swear that I want to transfer out of this class. It’s too un-serious, and nobody cares about learning.
Thats about all for now, comment me for any Questions/Comments.
High school, at first I liked the thought of going to a public school again, but now, I’m dreading it. We had freshman orientation yesterday and it went horribly.
Around 5:00 my dad dropped me off in front of the high school. After a few words to an old friend, I tried to get inside. No such luck. Turns out, you can’t get inside without a parent. So I call my dad and he comes back to pick me up. I also called my sister Brandie, who tells me I just need him to get me inside. So I get inside, get my schedule, (I registered for classes earlier that day) and go into the cafeteria for that long speech about how their cracking down on some rules. I have some time to kill before 7:30, so I go to the office, get a copy of my schedule (Dad took mine) and a map, and start exploring. Homeroom is in the band room, so that was easy. So I head off to go meet my other teachers.
After about an hour, I’ve find four classes (I knew where the gym was and the chorus room so I didn’t go there.) Since I have classes in the chorus room 3 different periods, (Theater, Chorus and Music Theory) I went to go find my Honor’s Environmental Sciences, Honor’s Geometry, World History, and English classes. That took me until 7:00 o’clock. Then I headed back to the office to meet will the councilor. at exactly 7:25, I finally get in, and find out that the deadline to take online college courses was THE DAY BEFORE! So I run to the chorus room.
I was in chorus for an hour, rehearsing the star-spangled banner, because THE DAY AFTER school starts, were taking a trip to go sing at a Bull’s game. That was a little surprise for me, considering I haven’t sung that song since the THIRD GRADE! So at 8:30 I got out of school, and since I hadn’t had any dinner, we went to Wendy’s and went home.
Ohmygoodness,
Cody

Sorry everyone for not posting in FOREVER, but I have some good excuses. You see, after my previous post on July 14th, I had a lot to work out with my ex, Jo, who I still had feelings for. Then I had to get over her and get a ton of school stuff done. Like CAT’s, (which I did EXCEPTIONALLY well in) shot updates, (the needles didn’t hurt as bad as I feared) registrations, (high school and college) and then there was helping my sister Brandie move in. Then on the 4th of this month, I moved in with Brandie (because she needed someone around before my niece drove her crazy.) and didn’t get back until today. Brandie had TONS of computer and internet problems, so I had no internet access. Those are my excuses. Now for explainations:
As far as me and Jo goes, well were still friends, thankfully, and the whole theme of the last blog was to show her a private page that told her how much I care for her.
School Stuff. CAT’s (California Assessment Test) are like an End-Of-Year test. It assess’ the grade levels your at. I need this to get into honor’s and college courses. Here’s some of the scores (12.9+ means college level.)
Total Reading: 12.9+ Total Math: 12.9+ Total English: 12.9+ Total Test (Includes History and Science): 12.9+
Oh yeah. I rock. I’m pretty sure I can take honor’s and college courses. (Remember: I’m going into the ninth grade.)
I’m going on Thursday to register for classes for high school and get the councilor’s approval to take two online courses from the local college. Now these courses at the college are core courses offered to high school students and they count for high school and college credits. So if I keep taking these classes through-out my high school years, I could graduate early. Which means early college. Which means I get far, far, far away from family faster. Score 1 for Cody!
I pretty much explained why I moved in with Brandie, so I have one thing to say: It’s good to be back.

Teenworks. The best theatre camp ever, with the best campers ever. I had a lot of fun there, and made many of friends while I was there. (Including the best scene partner ever and weirdest group of people ever.) It was in June, but we have missed everyone so much that me and my scene partner plotted and came up with the best idea ever. We’re having a reunion/going away party. Since I’ll be leaving at the end of the month, and we all wanted to see everyone again, so we’re having a reunion.
It was really nice of my scene partner, Ann, to make this also a going-away party, but now that it is, I’m just going to miss everyone even more. I really haven’t heard from anyone except Ann, Jo, and Crux (We all go by nicknames.) But hopefully I’ll do a better job at exchanging e-mails after this.
Although I can’t wait for the reunion, I also can’t wait to start school (Sorry Jo
). Mostly because I haven’t been to real school in a while but also because it’ll be nice to make new friends. But I’m not sure if the people will be nearly as cool as my friends at teenworks (nobody can beat them). It’ll also be interesting to see which clique I fall in. It’s almost as if cliques are a game, always changing but never ending (kinda like monopoly). I refuse to become a jock. I like sports but I don’t think I’ll play again. But I will be open to almost any other clique. Bidding starts in an hour and at 1 million.

P.S. I fell sorry for you if you didn’t get that last joke before my sign-off.
Ah, summer. It’s my favorite time of the year for many reasons. Like the way the pool feels after I’ve been stuck inside or away from the house, or the fact that I can go outside and try so hard not to burn, but I do anyway. But lets not forget the grandfather of all summer-lovingness, NO SCHOOL. At least I’ll be done with school after tomorrow. I finish school tomorrow but (since I’m home-schooled) I will have to take CAT’s (California Assessment Test(s)) sometime in early July. I’ll probably be done with school fully by July 15th. I’m really excited because this will be the last year I’ll have to be home-schooled against my will.
Well this should be interesting…. So I start going back to public school in August. Not much vacation but I don’t care. So the plan was: since my parents are working on the house so we can sell it and move out-of-state, the two home-school children (My younger sister, Samantha, and I) were going to move in with my grandparents (who live in the same town were moving to) and go to public school. But thanks to my awesome skills of plotting and convincing, thats not the plan. You see, my older sister, Brandie, lives three hours from our current house, and with her husband (who is AWESOMELY COOL) away fighting for our country, shes been living with us. She decided to rent a house back in the city she was living in, but wanted me to stay with her until I had to go to my grandparents’ house. So I thought it’d be better for me to just stay there and go to school. My parents and sister eventually agreed, so on August 26th, I’ll have been living with my sister for a month, and thats the day I start school. Sam is either staying here and going to school or going to my grandparents’ house, but we both think it’d be better for her to stay here.
Well theres a storm coming, so I have to get off and shut down the computer. I’ll blog again soon, but until next time, (insert saving-the-world-hero-like phrase here.).
Farwell for Now,
Cody

Heather,
I will give out advice (yes it’s spelled advice not advise). But I don’t really get the question. Is it “Do you think I’m Emo?” or “Will you talk to me?” or “Look at me I’m a freaky stalker and I want to develop a relationship with you.” So Please, write me back.

Thanks everyone for visiting Cody Inc., my newest blog attempt, and also if you feel the need to comment, I encourage it. I’ll mostly will be blogging about my life, considering that I’ve lost all interest in graphic design. I might be going through a phase (again) so I might be doing some more graphic designs (probably not though). So here’s some info about me. (This is for all you crazy stalkers out there.) My name is Cody (thus the name “Cody Inc.”) and I’m a 14-teen-age old guy. I don’t give out much personal information but I will say: I’m currently home-schooled with plans to go back into public school for ninth grade, and in school I usually take on the stereotype of outcast. Mostly because I’m insecure about myself, and the fact that I’ve ranked higher than average high-school students in assessment tests doesn’t help. I like rock music, acting, writing, and fiddling on the computer. So me in a nutshell: The anti-social teenage genius.
I’ll write more later,
Cody, Just another teenage genius.
