Christmas Chorus!

I’m in a very christmasy mood, so I thought I’d write a christmas-themed blog. I’m going to tell you all about everything I’ve done this christmas season.

Well, with my school’s chorus, we started learning all of our dances and songs for our christmas season shows. We all decided on doing When I hear those Jingle Bells, and Santa Claus is coming to Town (a modern version). We all have a stand-still ‘concert position’ were we sang Innkeeper and Psallite (Psallite is a Latin and German song that we’re singing for a competition next month) and part of Handel’s Messiah. On the 5th, we preformed at our city’s lighting of the greens (outside showcase before our christmas parade) and we did all those songs plus some of our normal secular songs. I also did a charity event over one of our weekends, where me and some of the other chorus members went to a party and sang for some little kids. On Monday, the chorus and band did a joint holiday concert, also for charity, and we did all of our christmas songs.

Instead of making myself broke again this year, I decided to make everyone’s christmas presents this year. I’m making a lot of CDs for everyone, best-of albums and stuff like that. I’m really excited about this particular christmas, because a ton of my family is coming down. Three of my brothers (plus various girlfriends and maybe my cousin) are driving down from IL. and my sister, her husband, and my adorable niece are getting her tomorrow. My other sister and her boyfriend and my other adorable niece will probably be coming (They only live 15 minutes away) and we’ll all be going to my grandparent’s to have christmas dinner. I’ll also get to see my aunt and uncle and cousin at my grandparents. I only wish that we could have a WHITE christmas, which we haven’t had in almost three years! I miss the snow :( .

Well, I’m going to log off now. Merry Christmas everyone!

Sorry…

Sorry everyone for not posting in FOREVER, but I have some good excuses. You see, after my previous post on July 14th, I had a lot to work out with my ex, Jo, who I still had feelings for. Then I had to get over her and get a ton of school stuff done. Like CAT’s, (which I did EXCEPTIONALLY well in) shot updates, (the needles didn’t hurt as bad as I feared) registrations, (high school and college) and then there was helping my sister Brandie move in. Then on the 4th of this month, I moved in with Brandie (because she needed someone around before my niece drove her crazy.) and didn’t get back until today. Brandie had TONS of computer and internet problems, so I had no internet access. Those are my excuses. Now for explainations:

As far as me and Jo goes, well were still friends, thankfully, and the whole theme of the last blog was to show her a private page that told her how much I care for her.

School Stuff. CAT’s (California Assessment Test) are like an End-Of-Year test. It assess’ the grade levels your at. I need this to get into honor’s and college courses. Here’s some of the scores (12.9+ means college level.)

Total Reading: 12.9+ Total Math: 12.9+  Total English: 12.9+ Total Test (Includes History and Science): 12.9+

Oh yeah. I rock. I’m pretty sure I can take honor’s and college courses. (Remember: I’m going into the ninth grade.)

I’m going on Thursday to register for classes for high school and get the councilor’s approval to take two online courses from the local college. Now these courses at the college are core courses offered to high school students and they count for high school and college credits. So if I keep taking these classes through-out my high school years, I could graduate early. Which means early college. Which means I get far, far, far away from family faster. Score 1 for Cody!

I pretty much explained why I moved in with Brandie, so I have one thing to say: It’s good to be back.
